How do the 2, 3, and 5-year vinyl options differ?
While the print quality remains consistently high across all three, the material composition varies based on your needs:
- 5-Year: Our premium choice for permanent signage. It features a gloss or matte laminate for superior UV protection and durability.
- 3-Year: A versatile hybrid option for mid-term displays.
- 2-Year: An economical solution perfect for short-term events like seasonal sales or real-estate listings. It has a slightly higher shrinkage rate, making it best for temporary use.
Which 'Production Size' should I select?
If you are covering the entire pane from edge to edge, select "Extra 3/4β bleed." This gives you a little "wiggle room" during installation to align the graphic and trim the excess for a perfect, seamless fit.
If your graphic sits in the center of the glass and doesn't reach the edges, select "Your exact measurements."
Should I install my graphics on the inside or outside of the glass?
Whenever possible, we recommend internal installation to protect your signage from weather and vandalism. However, if your windows are tinted, you must install them on the outside so they remain visible. Keep in mind that glass often has a subtle green tint which may slightly shift the appearance of colors when viewed through the pane.
Can you create custom shapes or cut-out letters?
We offer custom contour cutting for graphics under 48"βsimply select "Custom cut shape" in our calculator. Please provide your artwork with a vectored cutline.
Note: We specialize in geometric shapes and cannot produce intricate internal cuts, sharp corners, or individual vinyl lettering at this time.
Are clear or transparent backgrounds available?
No, our window graphics are printed in high-density digital color on opaque white or colored backgrounds. This ensures your design is bold and vibrant, but it does mean the background will not be transparent.
What is the maximum size for a single-piece graphic?
A single sheet can be produced up to 51β wide by 393β high. If your requirements exceed these dimensions, the graphic will be produced in multiple sections with a 20mm overlap to ensure a clean join.
Why are large orders split into 47β vertical drops?
To make the installation process manageable, we split oversized graphics into vertical "drops" (panels) no wider than 47β. This is the preferred method for professional installers as it is much easier to handle than horizontal splits.
How precise is the final sizing?
Because vinyl can react to the heat used in our eco-friendly Latex printing process, please allow for a minor size variance of up to 1%.
Do you offer installation services?
We are strictly a manufacturer and do not offer on-site installation. However, many of our products are designed for easy DIY setup! We recommend browsing YouTube for instructional window vinyl installation videos. If youβd prefer professional help, a local handyman or sign installer is usually a very cost-effective choice.
